Ending sooner rather than later is much easier and less painful for everybody. Many Mormons stick to a small group of friends within the church. He has never said a disparaging word about his mother. Would they have stayed in the church if dad was a member. Leave her so you can both find people that youre more suited for.
Take what you read with a grain of salt. My dear faithful LDS aunt married a good non-member man. But daytime game is the key. Due to their religious teachings, Mormons do not smoke, drink alcohol or caffeinated "hot drinks" coffee or tea or do drugs. I read every page of the CES letter, and it's definitely convinced me this entire religion is fabricated, but I'm sure she wouldn't even read it much less consider its points seriously. Do some research of your own as well, so that you know a little more about the person you are dating.
Thanks for sharing your story. When she goes on a mission, she will go through the temple which means she will be wearing garments. She is passionate about it. Here's my advice though: It doesn't sound like you want that though, so you're going to have to talk to him. I'm not complaining about the sex, but sometimes it prevents me from getting to know him better when we don't share any other bonding activities or get a chance to really talk. Personally I have a rule that I will not enter a relationship with a believing Mormon. But of course this does not mean that mixed religion children cannot grow up to be LDS stalwarts. I have two babies, 3 months and 3 years old and I believe they probably think my dr husband is an uncle or a distance relative bc their daddy was away for fellowship for over a yr and now away bc of his job.
Because I have a husband that is not a member I have a quasi like status in the ward. My husband says he will not compromise and that his physical activity is his priority. In many ways, you yield some authority to the church. Mormons have a well-known code of health, called the Word of Wisdom. Want to add to the discussion. There is no moral issue here. That conversation prompted me to find and read through this sub, and there's some seriously disturbing shit here.
