If you want to change the font style, size and color of the site title and the tagline "Just another WordPress site" you can do this with some CSS modifications. To avoid losing these modifications when upgrading WordPress or just the particular theme, and also to make them more quickly, it's recommended that you create a child theme of the particular theme and make the changes to the child theme. If you haven't done this so far check out the tutorial on creating a child theme in WordPress for more information. Once you have a child theme you can insert the code changes in the style. We'll use as an example the theme Twenty Twelve which is one of the default WordPress themes. To set the font family and size of the site title you can insert the following code in the style. This will set the size of the font to 28 pixels and the font family to Courier. Note that we've also included the generic family to which the particular font family belongs. In this case the font family is Courier and the corresponding generic family to which it belongs is monospace. It's not necessary to do this; it's for compatibility reasons.

Using CSS – The Classic Way
Sometimes, you may want to make a line or a paragraph larger, or you might want to increase the font size of your entire page content. It takes your visitors just a couple of seconds to decide whether they want to stay or leave your website. This gives you very little time to convince them to stay on your website. Headings are great for SEO as well. Search engines give proper headings more weight than normal paragraph text.
